Granulated sugar, ⅔ cup
Egg yolks, 2
Vanilla extract, 1 tsp
All-purpose flour, 2 cups
Salt, ¼ tsp
Milk, 2 Tbsp

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F and line cookie trays with parchment paper
In a large bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy
Add egg yolks and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated
In a separate bowl, whisk flour and salt
Gradually add flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, until a smooth dough forms
Chill dough for at least 30 minutes
Pipe dough into rosettes using a large open star tip onto prepared trays
Bake for 13–15 minutes, or until light golden

Notes

Use European butter for a richer flavor
Substitute coconut sugar for a darker color
Use almond milk or 2% milk for a vegan option
Chilling the dough is crucial to prevent spreading
