Ingredients
1 cucumber, thinly sliced
1.5 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
1 tsp fish sauce
1 tsp sugar
Sprinkle of MSG (optional)
1 clove garlic, grated
2 green onions, sliced
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
1. Slice the cucumber thinly using a mandolin or sharp knife and place in a deli container or bowl.
2. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, fish sauce, sugar, MSG (optional), garlic, green onions, and sesame seeds.
3. Cover the container and shake until evenly coated. Alternatively, toss well in a bowl.
4. Serve immediately for extra crunch or refrigerate 1–2 hours for a pickled texture.
Notes
For best texture, use English or Persian cucumbers.
Salt cucumbers and drain before mixing to reduce excess water.
Pairs well with grilled meats, fried rice, or served on its own as a snack.
