Ingredients
1 box golden vanilla cake mix
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 egg
2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (Cool Whip)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a bowl, mix cake mix, melted butter, and egg until crumbly. Reserve 1/2 cup for topping.
3. Press the remaining dough into the pan and bake for 12 minutes.
4. Toss chopped strawberries with sugar and lemon juice. Set aside.
5. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add condensed milk and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
6. Fold in whipped topping gently.
7. Spread cream layer over the baked crust. Top with strawberries.
8. Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture on top and bake for another 18–20 minutes until golden and set.
9. Cool completely, then chill for 2 hours before slicing into bars.
Notes
Use fresh, ripe strawberries for best flavor.
Bars can be made a day ahead—store chilled.
Add a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs or crushed vanilla cookies for extra crunch.
